Held in His Hand

“And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.”

John 10:28 · NKJV

I give them eternal life. Given, not loaned. Jesus does not hand out trial memberships that expire when you stumble. And the life He gives comes with a promise attached: they shall never perish.

Then He adds the picture that ends the argument. Neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. Your security is not your grip on Him. It is His grip on you. The strength of the hand doing the holding is what matters, and that hand belongs to the Shepherd who laid down His life for the sheep.

On the days you feel like you are barely hanging on, remember that hanging on was never your job. You are held. The life in you is His gift, and the hand around you is His own.
