Christ Became Your Righteousness
“But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.”
1 Corinthians 1:30 · NKJV
Read the verbs carefully. Of Him you are in Christ Jesus. God put you there. And Christ became for us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, redemption. He did not hand you a curriculum. He became the things you needed.
That changes the whole project. You are not building a righteousness and hoping it passes inspection. You are joined to the Righteous One, and His standing is yours. Sanctification is not you becoming acceptable. It is Christ, who already is.
So when the accuser asks for your credentials, you do not point to your week. You point to your Savior. He is your wisdom when you are confused, your righteousness when you feel disqualified, your redemption when the past gets loud. You are in Him, and He is enough.
Christ became your righteousness. When you wonder where you stand, look at where He stands.
