He Will Do It

“He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.”

1 Thessalonians 5:24 · NKJV

One sentence, and the whole weight shifts. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it. The calling is His. The faithfulness is His. The doing is His. Paul does not end his letter with a to-do list. He ends it with a promise.

Covenant has always rested on God’s faithfulness, not human performance. That is what makes it good news. If completing you depended on your consistency, you would have reason to worry. It depends on His, and He has never once failed.

So when you see the distance between who you are and who you long to be, do not despair, and do not strain. The One who called you took responsibility for finishing what He started. He is faithful. He will do it.

He who called you is faithful, and He will do it. The finishing was never your burden to carry.
