He Remains Faithful

“If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.”

2 Timothy 2:13 · NKJV

If we are faithless, He remains faithful. Read it again slowly, because religion has trained us to expect the opposite. We assume our faithlessness cancels His commitment. Paul says it cannot, and then he tells us why: He cannot deny Himself.

Your union with Christ means His faithfulness now holds your story. For God to abandon you, He would have to deny His own Son, His own promise, His own nature. He is not able. Faithfulness is not something God does when we deserve it. Faithful is what He is.

So on the days your trust feels thin, do not measure God’s grip by your grasp. The covenant rests on His faithfulness, not your consistency. When you flicker, He holds steady. That is the whole point of grace.

Even when your faith runs thin, He remains faithful. He cannot deny Himself, and you are His.
