Anchored

“This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil.”

Hebrews 6:19 · NKJV

Hope, in Scripture, is not finger-crossing. It is an anchor of the soul, sure and steadfast. And look where the anchor is set: behind the veil, in the very Presence of God, where Jesus has entered for you. Your hope is fastened in the one place that can never be shaken.

An anchor does not hold because the boat is strong. It holds because of what it is buried in. Storms will still come, and your feelings will still swing, but the anchor line runs from your soul to the throne room, and Jesus Himself secured it there.

Hebrews was written to people tempted to drift back to an old system that could never finish anything. The answer then is the answer now. You have a sure hope, a seated Priest, a finished work. You are not holding the line. The line is holding you.

Your anchor is set behind the veil, where Jesus is. The storm cannot reach what holds you.
