He Cares for You
“Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”
1 Peter 5:7 · NKJV
Casting all your care upon Him. The word means to throw, the way you heave a load off your shoulders onto something stronger. Peter is not describing careful, partial delegation. All your care. Thrown, not rationed.
And here is the reason, which is the best part: for He cares for you. You do not cast your cares on Him to prove your spirituality. You cast them because you are cared for. His concern for you is personal, constant, and prior. He cared before you asked.
Anxiety keeps its grip when we believe we are the last line of defense. You are not. Your Father is awake, attentive, and strong, and He would rather carry your burden than watch you buckle under it. Throw it to Him. He can take it, because He already holds you.
Throw the whole weight on Him. You are not the last line of defense. He cares for you.
