Not Appointed to Wrath
“For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.”
1 Thessalonians 5:9-10 · NKJV
Paul writes about the day of the Lord and lands the believer's part of it here: your appointment is salvation. Wrath is simply not on your calendar, because it was carried at the cross.
Then this tender line: who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. Awake or asleep, living or having died, the destination is identical. Together with Him. Death itself cannot reroute a believer.
You do not need a chart of the end times to be sure of your ending. Your ending is a Person, and He has already died to secure the togetherness.
Your appointment is life together with Him. Nothing on any timeline changes that.
