He Will Establish You

“But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.”

2 Thessalonians 3:3 · NKJV

Paul had just admitted that not everyone has faith. Then he pivots on that little word but. People waver. The Lord is faithful.

Two verbs belong to Him here, not to you. Establish: He sets your feet and steadies what shakes. Guard: He stands watch. The verse does not say the Lord is faithful if you hold on tightly enough. His faithfulness is the given. Your stability is the consequence.

You will meet your own inconsistency this week. Meet it with this verse. The Keeper does not sleep on the job, and He does not resign.

He establishes. He guards. Your steadiness flows from His faithfulness, not the other way around.
