Not Ashamed of You

“For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren,”

Hebrews 2:11 · NKJV

One family, one source, the Sanctifier and the sanctified together. And then the astonishing clause: He is not ashamed to call them brethren.

Shame whispers that Jesus tolerates you at a distance, the way a family keeps quiet about a difficult relative. This verse says the opposite. He claims the relation publicly. Brothers. Sisters. His.

Your sanctification is His work, which is why the association does not embarrass Him. He knows what He is making of you, and He put His name on the outcome from the beginning.

Jesus claims you as family without a flinch. Walk today as someone He is glad to name.
