The Same Spirit

“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”

Romans 8:11 · NKJV

Paul says dwells twice in one sentence, because the point he is making is residence.

Consider who this is. Not a lesser presence sent to keep an eye on you. The Spirit whose power emptied the tomb is the Spirit who took up residence in you, and He came to stay.

Life feels thin in certain rooms. The marriage that has gone quiet. The body that does not recover the way it used to. The faith that feels more like a pilot light than a fire. Those places tempt you to believe God is somewhere else, waiting for you to get stronger before He shows up. Paul says the opposite. The Spirit who raised Jesus is not visiting those rooms. He lives in the house, and whatever He does next, He does from the inside.

Resurrection is ahead of you, and it is also the character of the One already inside you. Whatever feels lifeless in your experience today is in the hands of a Spirit who lives here.

Resurrection power has an address, and it is you. He dwells here.
