Boldness to Enter
“Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,”
Hebrews 10:19 · NKJV
For centuries one man entered that room once a year, carefully, with blood that had to be brought again the following year.
Hebrews says you have boldness. The word carries the sense of speaking freely, without needing permission and without watching your words. That is what the torn veil bought, and it was bought once.
This is how most of us approach prayer after a hard week. We clear our throat. We open with an apology for how long it has been. We rehearse our case before we dare to ask for anything, as if we have to earn a hearing. Hebrews describes the opposite posture. You come into the Holiest the way a child comes into the kitchen where her father is standing, already talking before she is through the door. Not careless, but unafraid. The blood of Jesus already answered the question of whether you are welcome in the room.
By the blood of Jesus. That phrase is the entire basis. Your confidence at the throne rests on the sufficiency of what He offered, whatever the week was like and however you feel about your prayers.
The Holiest is open and you may come in freely. His blood is your credential.
